Second Open Call closed!

Thank you for your participation on the 2019 Open Call!

You have delivered promptly, now it is time for the evaluation process to begin. The next two months are going to be dedicated to sort and evaluate by our independent experts, all the proposals that we received until September 30th. After submission, the proposals will be evaluated by a jury consisting of independent experts and representatives of the CloudiFacturing project. This process is planned to last 2 months. Beginning of December 2019 proposers will be informed about the outcome of the evaluation process. During December 2019 contract signature is foreseen, so that the experiments can start beginning of 2020.

In total, we received 24 proposals. These ones are going to be evaluated according to the defined criteria to ensure compatibility of the new experiments with the CloudiFacturing Solution, respecting the usual evaluation goals and criteria of project proposals submitted to the European Commission.

We are very pleased to see the reaction of the people applying to the Second Open Call!

Thank you and stayed tuned for more information.

Mission

CloudiFacturing is a project, which is open to new (teams of) participants (3rd parties). With our Open Calls, we are looking for / seeking innovative use cases in the context of the project’s mission.

The mission of CloudiFacturing is to optimize production processes and producibility using Cloud/HPC-based modeling and simulation, leveraging online factory data and advanced data analytics, thus contributing to the competitiveness and resource efficiency of manufacturing SMEs, ultimately fostering the vision of Factories 4.0 and the circular economy. To pursue this mission, computationally demanding production engineering and simulation, as well as data analytics tools, are to be provided as Cloud services to ease accessibility and make their use more affordable.

CloudiFacturing will empower over 60 European organizations (many of them being manufacturing SMEs) and will support about 20 cross-national application experiments that will primarily be selected via two Open Calls.

The First Open Call 2018 started on the 1st of July and closed on the 30th of September.

The Second Open Call 2019 started on the 1st of July and closed on the 30th of September.
